YP4T Champions Youth Engagement with Civic Workshop and Launches Educational Grant Initiative

Young Professionals for Tinubu (YP4T) is advancing its mission to empower young Nigerians by hosting a Civic Participation Workshop by bringing together 1,200 participants. The event provided essential knowledge and skills to enable young Nigerians to play active roles in shaping the country’s future. As an organization committed to driving national progress in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for economic transformation, YP4T continues to mobilize young professionals dedicated to Nigeria’s development.

The workshop featured interactive sessions on policymaking and advocacy, digital citizenship and social media activism, leadership and public speaking, and understanding government and the constitution. Participants engaged with experienced facilitators posed critical questions about integrating into political and civic spaces at local and national levels and received practical guidance on making meaningful contributions to Nigeria’s progress.

A recurring theme throughout the event was the importance of voter registration among young Nigerians approaching voting age. Speakers and facilitators emphasized the necessity of civic engagement, beginning with exercising the fundamental right to vote, ensuring that young voices help shape the country’s future.

The event concluded with a panel discussion led by YP4T Regional Director, Mr. Alex Oware, who engaged Mr. Wale Fadare, Personal Assistant to the President on General Duties, in a conversation about the role of young Nigerians in nation-building. Mr. Fadare highlighted:
"True transformation is a collective effort. Young Nigerians have the energy and vision to drive change, and it is vital that we all work together to build a stronger, more resilient nation. A crucial part of this is making sure that more young people take their civic responsibilities seriously, from understanding governance to ensuring they are registered to vote."

The workshop marks a significant milestone for YP4T, which has now surpassed 3,000 registered young professionals dedicated to advancing President Tinubu’s policies. This growing community reflects a shared commitment to ensuring young people actively contribute to Nigeria’s progress.

Further strengthening this commitment, YP4T announced the launch of an Educational Grant Program to support 100 final-year secondary school students across Nigeria. The initiative aims to remove financial barriers, providing funds for their final certificate examinations and ensuring they can complete their education.

Speaking on the importance of the program, Alex Oware, Regional Director for YP4T, stated:
"Education is the foundation upon which strong nations are built. By supporting 100 young Nigerians in their final year of secondary school, we are not only investing in their future but in the future of the country itself. This grant represents an opportunity for these students to complete a critical stage of their education, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress. We believe that empowering young minds today will yield leaders who drive innovation, governance, and prosperity tomorrow."

By fostering leadership, civic responsibility, and policy engagement, YP4T is strengthening Nigeria’s economic, technological, and entrepreneurial landscape. The workshop and the newly launched grant program reinforce YP4T’s mission to empower young professionals—not just to envision change, but to actively shape it.
