Visa and Access Bank Unveil Innovative 'Tap to Phone' Payment Technology in Nigeria

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has partnered with Access Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, to introduce 'Tap to Phone' in Nigeria. This groundbreaking solution allows merchants to seamlessly process payments using their mobile phones, enhancing convenience and efficiency for businesses and consumers.

'’Tap to Phone' transforms any Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled Android smartphone into a payment terminal, enabling merchants to accept Visa payments with a simple tap of a Visa card. This contactless payment method is designed for speed, ease of use, and top-tier security compliance.
