Publicis Groupe Africa and IFICA Unveil Africa’s First Internal Communications Benchmark Survey

Publicis Groupe Africa, in partnership with the Institute for Internal Communications Africa (IFICA), has introduced Africa’s first comprehensive internal communications benchmark survey. The initiative aims to equip internal communications specialists with open-source insights, which will be compiled into a whitepaper published by both organisations.

Professionals across the continent are encouraged to participate in the survey to ensure a broad and accurate representation of the industry, according to Publicis Groupe Africa and IFICA.

The survey is conducted anonymously, with no personal or company-identifiable data being collected, the organisations confirm.

Publicis Groupe Africa, which houses a dedicated internal communications team within its agency Machine_, says it is committed to supporting IFICA and internal communications professionals in advancing the field.

"We are passionate about the role internal communications plays as the foundation for any successful organisation," says Machine_'s Chief Content Officer, Sarah Browning-de Villiers, who also serves on IFICA's Advisory Board.

"Without an energised, connected employee base united by a clear strategy, vision and purpose, no business will achieve effective, sustainable growth — however compelling its external service or product proposition to customers may be," Browning-de Villiers adds.

"We have ambitions to produce an industry-wide benchmark report for internal comms across Africa — something to help us all unlock shared learnings and best practice across the internal comms specialisation on the continent," Browning-de Villiers continues.
