HabariPay’s Squad, the fintech payment subsidiary of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO), has officially announced the dates for its annual social coding competition. Following the success of its debut edition, Squad Hackathon 2.0 will take place from March 13–15, 2025, at the cutting-edge GTCO Training Complex, Tayo's Plaza, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Launched in January 2024, Take on Squad Hackathon is designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among emerging tech talents. Competing teams will utilize Squad’s advanced APIs to develop scalable digital solutions that tackle pressing economic and social challenges. This second edition is set to be bigger and more impactful, with expanded participation from universities across Nigeria and a broader range of problem statements.
With the theme “Finclusion Revolution: Unlocking Access, Empowering Communities,” the three-day event will focus on leveraging technology to bridge financial access gaps in underserved areas. Participants will engage in onboarding sessions, team-building activities, brainstorming, hacking, and solution development. The hackathon provides a platform for university students and other tertiary-level innovators to showcase their skills, fostering personal and professional growth while building valuable industry connections. More than just a competition, it serves as a launchpad for young innovators to gain exposure, attract investment, and bring their solutions to market.

Registration for Squad Hackathon 2.0 is now open for teams of four.
