Revolut, the global financial technology company, has entered the world of women’s football by becoming a global partner of Manchester City Women. This marks the company’s first sponsorship investment in women’s sports.
As part of the partnership, Revolut's branding will feature on the training kit sleeve of Manchester City Women, and team captain Alex Greenwood will serve as a Revolut ambassador.
The collaboration will include digital and physical branding assets throughout the season and a special Revolut takeover event at the Manchester City vs. Chelsea game at the Etihad Stadium in March.
Additionally, Manchester City Women and Revolut will provide fans and customers with exclusive benefits and experiences, deepening engagement with the sport and the brand.
Charlotte O’Neill, managing director of Manchester City Women, praised the partnership, saying, “This is a key moment as we welcome another brand committed to investing in the women’s game and supporting the commercial growth and sustainability of the club.
“Revolut joins our growing portfolio of partners focused solely on the women’s game and we look forward to working with the brand throughout the partnership and this journey together.”
Revolut’s move into women’s football adds to its growing sports sponsorship portfolio, including its role as an associate partner of the NBA’s regular-season game in Paris this month. The company also renewed its multi-year partnership with the NBA in October.
