The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), a Shariah-compliant multilateral insurer under the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, has announced the appointment of Dr. Khalid Khalafalla as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 16 December 2024.
Dr. Khalafalla brings nearly two decades of experience within the IsDB Group, where he has held several key positions. Since May 2024, he has served as ICIEC's Officer-in-Charge, in addition to previously working as Principal Executive Assistant in the IsDB President’s Office and contributing significantly to ICIEC's operations from 2007 to 2017. His appointment marks a new chapter for ICIEC, reinforcing its mission to provide Shariah-compliant insurance solutions and drive sustainable economic growth.
