Publicis Groupe Middle East and Africa (MEA) has been named the 2024 Regional Agency Group of the Year at the prestigious Loeries, highlighting its dominance in the advertising industry. The award celebrates the agency's innovation and creative excellence across multiple regions, solidifying its leadership in the sector.
According to Jonty Fisher, Senior Vice President of Publicis Groupe Africa, the agency submitted entries across its key markets including Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"It was amazing to have entries from all of our markets including UAE, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Mauritius and South Africa. This demonstrates not only the breadth of the Publicis network across the region but also the strength of the creative product," Fisher said.
Publicis Groupe attributes its success to its long-standing "Power of One" approach, which integrates creativity, media, and technology to deliver holistic solutions for its clients. A standout campaign, 'NBA Jump,' by Leo Burnett Dubai, recreated iconic NBA dunks in a unique Indian context, blending creativity with cultural authenticity.
The campaign earned the NBA the title of Brand of the Year at the Loeries. Publicis' Chief Creative Officer for Africa, Pete Little, remarked, “Creativity not only grabs attention but also sparks meaningful change. Our recognition at the Loeries reaffirms our commitment to storytelling that drives impact.”
He further credited the agency's teams across the region for their passion and dedication, stating, “The heart of our success lies in the creativity and purpose-driven work we produce across diverse markets, making us the trusted partner of our clients.”
