Lafarge Africa Plc has announced the appointment of Olusola Oworu, a distinguished finance expert with over 30 years of cross-sector experience, to its Board of Directors. Mrs. Oworu brings a wealth of expertise in consulting, banking and finance, commerce, energy, and public service.
Currently serving as Chairman of the Board Credit Committee at Sterling Bank Plc, Mrs. Oworu has held numerous leadership positions, including Independent Director at First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry for Lagos State. She also served as Vice President at Citibank Nigeria Limited.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Mrs. Oworu is a former Council Member of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Bank Directors Association of Nigeria. Her appointment is expected to strengthen Lafarge Africa's strategic direction in the financial and corporate governance sectors.
