After selling out in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore, Apple's Vision Pro spatial computing headset is now available at Apple Store locations in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, and France.
Apple Vision Pro is Apple's groundbreaking 3D camera. It allows users to capture stunning spatial photos and videos in 3D, enabling you to relive those moments with immersive Spatial Audio like never before. The existing photo and video library will be displayed on an incredible scale, and starting this fall, enabling its users to effortlessly convert 2D photos into spatial photos with a simple tap. It can capture spatial videos with the iPhone 15 Pro and view them on the Apple Vision Pro for a truly immersive experience.
With consumer interest waning in the $3,499 headset domestically, Apple hopes that expanding to these international markets will boost sales. According to market tracker IDC, the headset has yet to reach 100,000 units sold in the quarter since its U.S. launch in February.
Despite being lauded for its advanced hardware and technology, the Apple Vision Pro has received mixed reviews from users. Concerns have been raised about its functionality, the user-friendliness of its gesture-based controls, and discomfort during extended use. Additionally, there are broader criticisms regarding the general application of VR technology and the limited content available for the device.
