The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of The SERAS Africa Sustainability Awards and TruCSR, Nigeria’s oldest sustainability consulting firm, extend heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu as he concludes his impactful tenure as CEO of Zenith Bank Plc.
Under Mr. Onyeagwu's leadership, Zenith Bank became a household name in Nigeria and a globally recognised financial brand. His tenure saw the bank emerge as a hub for innovative financial solutions and a leader in sustainability best practices. His exceptional performance earned him the title of Banking CEO of the Year in Africa at the International Banker Awards in 2023 and 2024.
In addition, Mr. Onyeagwu won the CEO of the Year title at The SERAS – Africa’s premier sustainability awards – in 2021 and 2022. Zenith Bank also received the accolade of Most Responsible Organization in Africa during these years, competing against leading organisations from 27 countries. These awards underscore the global recognition of Mr. Onyeagwu’s contributions to excellence and standards in the banking industry. His commitment to excellence, ethical practices, and responsible banking has been exemplary.
