According to data sourced from Africa: The Big Deal, African startup funding saw a notable 39% decline, plummeting from $4.6 billion in the previous year to $2.9 billion in 2023.
The overwhelming response to the call for entries, with over 250 submissions from across the African continent, including Kenya, Egypt, Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana, South Sudan, Malawi, Angola, Morocco, Botswana, Benin, Congo, Uganda, South Africa, Sierra Leone, and more, underscores the vast potential for innovation and partnership within the continent.
