...to be available on Netflix from December 3
It's an exciting time to be a fan of Nintendo's famous plumber. Super Mario Bros. Wonder was released for Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago to acclaim, and now it's been reported that The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be available on Netflix very soon.
Netflix has announced on X (previously Twitter) that The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be available to stream on the site beginning Sunday, December 3.
The film is currently only confirmed to be available to subscribers in the United States. Its arrival on Netflix comes exactly four months after its debut on Peacock and its VoD launch in May.
For the families that go a little too hard on Mario Kart over the holidays, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be on Netflix to help them heal. December 3!
Netflix through its X account, @netflix on November 9, 2023, announced: "The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a fun, but predictably safe trip to the Mushroom Kingdom with a memorable turn from Jack Black as Bowser. A word of warning for anyone checking out the film on Netflix for the first time: good luck getting that “Peaches” song out of your head any time soon. Oh, and Chris Pratt is completely fine as Mario!"
Charles Martinet, the voice behind Super Mario is stepping away from the character
The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a partnership between Nintendo and Minions studio Illumination, portrays a plucky pair of Brooklyn-based plumbers, Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day), who are transported to the Mushroom Kingdom by a mysterious warp conduit.
