Premier League club Manchester United has agreed and expanded its association with Qualcomm Technologies, with the Snapdragon brand becoming the club's front-of-shirt sponsor beginning with the 2024/25 season.
The club did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement, but The Athletic stated Qualcomm and United had agreed on a contract for at least three years, with the Old Trafford-based team "targeting an agreement worth £60m ($74.92m) per year."
In 2021, United secured a five-year contract with German tech firm TeamViewer as their primary shirt sponsor, replacing Chevrolet.
However, United said in December that they had reached a “mutually-beneficial agreement” with TeamViewer giving the club the option of buying back the rights to its shirt front sponsorship.
It said it would conduct a targeted sales effort in a "normalised market," despite having signed the TeamViewer agreement during the height of the COVID-19 outbreak.
"Manchester United has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the front of the club's famous shirt," United stated late Tuesday in a news release.
"Qualcomm Technologies is already promoting its Snapdragon brand as a global partner of Manchester United."
"Under the expanded agreement, Snapdragon will become Manchester United's front-of-shirt partner beginning with the 2024/25 season, appearing on the men's and women's teams' home, away, and third kits."
Qualcomm Snapdragon was founded in November 2007, and its acclaimed processors power premium products from the world's leading brands, including smartphones, PCs, extended reality glasses, gaming devices, wearables, and linked cars.
