EXMAN Elects First Female President

...New Exco Reaffirms Commitment to EXMAN's vision


The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has elected renowned marketing professional and Lead Consultant, Aster Integrated Marketing Limited, Tolulope Medebem as its new president. She took on the baton from Tunji Adeyinka.

The announcement of the new executives was made at the end of the EXMAN Brand Experience Summit held in Lagos.

The exco emphasised their commitment to build on the accomplishments of the previous executive while also expediting new projects, notably in the area of capacity building.

In her remarks following the announcement, Medebem emphasised the need of continuity and highlighted intentions to consolidate existing programmes in order to sustain the outgoing executive's successes.

Medebem also mentioned the establishment of a training portal named "Get-Way-to-Experiential Marketing," which will offer courses and certification to those interested in experiential marketing. This project aims to bridge the gap by connecting prospective professionals with EXMAN member agencies.

Angela Makinwa, the recently elected Vice President, also affirmed the association's commitment to continuing collaborations with educational institutions and expanding beyond universities to include other tertiary institutions such as Pan-Atlantic University and Lagos State University, capacity building emerged as a key focus in the newly elected council's action plan.

The plan is to do more. Right now, we have a few universities on board. We want to do more, because the truth is,the expanse of experiential marketing is not just Lagos. It’s more than Lagos. And that we have a sector body that looks like is only Lagos, does not mean that young people across the length and breadth of Nigeria are not interested in practicing experiential,” Makinwa said.

According to her, the goal is to provide future marketers in Nigeria with the required skills and expertise to flourish in the experiential marketing sector.

Other exco elected to the council are Oluwarotimi Rhodes as General Secretary, Ndanusa Amihere as Financial Secretary, and Olaiwola Jegede as Publicity Secretary.
