PRCA Appoints Renna Markson as Managing Director

Former Deputy Director General & Engagement Director of the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), Renna Markson has been named the first managing director of the Association.

The new position is part of a reorganisation of the association's leadership structure, which agreed on a new roadmap earlier this month following the completion of the independent governance review, which began in September. The review panel's recommendations included replacing the general director post with the distinct chief executive and president responsibilities, as well as a significantly reduced board.

Markson, who has been at the PRCA for six years and has led the organisation since the death of director general Francis Ingham in March, will report to the incoming CEO, for whom the association’s management board has started its search.

As MD, Markson will assume responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the association and the implementation of strategic plans to elevate the organisation and for the benefit of its members. She will also oversee internal culture, well-being and professional development for the PRCA team, as well as working with volunteer groups and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including members, sponsors and partners.
