BCW Group, the global communications agency, has announced the appointment of Corey duBrowa as its Chief Executive Officer. Corey, who is currently the Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs at Google and Alphabet, will succeed Donna Imperato.
In 2018, Corey joined Google and Alphabet to manage the communications and public relations division. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Salesforce, and before that, he was Senior Vice President of Global Communications at Starbucks for seven years. He began his career in employee communications at Nike and has substantial agency expertise from his time at Waggener Edstrom and Ketchum Public Relations.
His multiple industry awards over the past 25 years include six SABREs, four PRWeek Global Awards and three PRSA Silver Anvils, and he has been inducted into the PR News Hall of Fame. He currently serves on the University of Oregon Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Providence Health Foundation’s Board of Directors and the PR Museum’s Board of Trustees. He was a trustee of the Arthur W. Page Society for five years and a founding member of the USC Annenberg School’s Board of Advisors. Corey was a music journalist for two decades, with more than a thousand bylines in publications ranging from Rolling Stone to GQ.
Corey will join BCW at the start of August, leading one of the world’s largest communications agencies, with more than 4,000 people in nearly 40 countries worldwide. As CEO of BCW Group, he will also oversee AxiCom, a specialist technology PR agency; Direct Impact, a grassroots and advocacy agency; GCI Health, a global healthcare integrated communications agency; HZ, an integrated creative agency; and Prime Policy Group, a public affairs and public policy consultancy. He will also join the WPP Executive Committee at this time.
