LG Electronics award Dansol High School Students with Products

LG Electronics in partnership with Fouani Nigeria Limited has rewarded students of Dansol High School with Products in its Annual Leadership Lecture and Press day tagged “The Prevalent Security Challenge in Secondary Schools – The Way Out” held on Tuesday 24th May, 2022.

In her welcome address at the event, the Executive Director, Dansol High School, Mrs Olanitori shared the dream and vision of Dansol and how the students have made the school proud in one category or the other. Olanitori stated: “Today is all about encouraging our children to advance in learning and to value it as a key step towards addressing functional education in our society.

“It is also noteworthy to mention and appreciate our teachers who have not been relenting in impacting knowledge on these students and the schools which they represent.” She further commended the students for their performance and encouraged them to keep the flag flying, not to relent in reading as well as searching for knowledge for a better tomorrow.

The Guest Speaker of the day was the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr.  Abiodun Sylvester Alabi. In his speech, he encouraged the students to be of good behaviour and stay away from social vices such as drugs, cultism, alcohol and the likes. In his words, “Children has been exposed to technology and the challenges we’ve seen today if not tackled, will lead to the collapse of the system.”  Much as the police is here to protect life and property, security starts with you. Be always inquisitive while at School, Home or in town by ensuring that you know the person whom you are dealing with and ensure to report any suspicious or threatening issues to the police. As the Police is your friend, he said.

Prizes were given to three Dansol High School students who stood out morally or performed great feats. Deserving students went home with LG Products.  Oke-Osanyintolu Bibire was presented with LG 32 inch TV, for the award of (Miss Wisdom), while Ibukun Alakija (Best Behaved, Senior School) and Obileye Temiloluwa (Best Behaved, Junior School) were presented with Microwave Oven and Audio set respectively.

Presenting the award to the students, the Head, Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West Africa Operations, Mr. Hari Elluru commended them for their academic excellence and appreciate them for their hard works towards achieving the award.

Other dignitary at the occasion was Barrister Afolabi Solebo, General Manager, Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency.

Put together for the entertainment of guest was the cultural dance display by students of Dansol High School and also the Launch of the Dansol Voice Magazine.
