Entries are now open for the 2021 SABRE Awards competitions in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The early deadline for all three competitions is December 18; the late deadline will be January 25, 2021.
The SABRE Awards competition, which recognizes Superior Achievement in Branding, Reputation and Engagement, has grown to become the largest awards competition for public relations programming in the world, attracting more than 5,000 entries from every continent.
"The past 12 months have been extremely challenging for everyone, not least those of us responsible for maintaining the close relationships between organizations and their key stakeholders," said Paul Holmes, founder of the SABRE Awards and chair of the SABRE jury. "But we know from our ongoing contact with the public relations industry that our profession has rise to the challenge, and that much of the work that was conducted in 2020 was among the most innovative and creative we have ever seen.
"We are aware that everything organizations did in 2020 took place against a backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, and while we have not introduced a specific Covid-19 category this year, we will be looking at every category closely, and when appropriate we will reserve the right to split the category--employee communications, for example, or executive leadership--in two, so that both Covid-related work and more general campaigns can be recognized."
Jury information will be announced shortly.
