The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on us the 'new normal' - meaning wearing of face mask at all time will now be part of protective measures for everyone across the word - at least in the next couple of years.
With this in mind, LG has decided to go out of its way to release a one-of-a-kind battery-powered mask.
South Korean multinational electronics company LG on Thursday announced its new air-purifying mask which comes with two fans and filters powered with an 820mAh battery.
According to the compnay, the mask comes with a pair of replaceable filters similar to what you’d find in LG’s range of air purifiers for the home. It pairs them with battery-powered fans to help you breathe. Honestly, it looks like a great gadget and something that we'd happily wear.
LG also noted that it comes with sensors to detect when you're breathing in & out and adjusts the fans accordingly. We think this is a great alternative to the disposable masks that are running short on supply.
The mask comes with an 820mAh battery that provides up to 8 hours of usage in low power mode.
LG says the device has a respiratory sensor to detect when you’re breathing in and out, which will then adjust the speed of the purifier’s dual fans accordingly. These fans will speed up to assist air intake and slow down to reduce resistance when exhaling ‘to make breathing effortless’.
