According to her, our proactive governor is working so hard to combat COVID-19 and this facility will complement efforts in curbing the pandemic. It’s coming at the time it’s needed the most, adding that the hygiene standard of the students and the school, in general, will be really high from now on. “The facility has brought Opebi Senior Grammar School from obscurity to limelight and rebranded and elevated it to international school standard” asserted the Principal.

According to the X3M Ideas’ CEO, X3M Ideas built the elegant hand washing system for the students because they represent the future of this great state. “This year, in view of COVID-19, it becomes imperative to create the hand-washing station just to continue to maintain the high level of hygiene among the students, to protect them and to protect ourselves to ensure that we help flatten the COVID-19 curve and make sure all the wonderful health workers who have put in the time to help manage the crisis don’t have to do more work”.
Additionally, Steve noted that the Glo MiFi internet modems were donated to help the students and their teachers keep abreast of the latest COVID-19 news and also help in their academic pursuit.
Highlighting the SUBEB Chairman, Babaeko also enjoins other corporate citizens to pick up a public school and support them in whatever capacity possible. “I am a product of public school as well, so I understand how it is, students in publics school have to be supported with facilities they need to be successful Nigerians”
Making a remark on behalf of the Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Akinfoyewa expressed the Commissioner’s delight at the organisation’s 8th anniversary and the project saying “it came at the right time as the world is battling COVID -19 and the need for good hygiene system” . In the same token, the Tutor General /Permanent Secretary, Education District VI, Mrs. Oludara Okelola represented by Mr. Muyiwa Amodu said that the project commissioned today is exceptional, describing X3M Idea’s team as “having a large heart, a cheerful giver and a benevolent personality”.
“This isn’t your first time of commissioning projects, I was privileged to be at Agidingbi and Ikeja High schools and I saw X3M ideas’ projects, now you are here again, as government, we appreciate you. “For some organisations, COVID-19 has set them back, for you it has propelled you. We appreciate your kind gestures always”
A representative of the student, Mustapha Fatima who sees the X3M Ideas’ 2020 CSR project as wonderful, said it is very important to the students' population at this period of coronavirus, as they need to remain healthy and wash their hands regularly. “This will be very useful even after the pandemic and we promise to make judicious use of the facility and keep it in good shape. We pray that God will uplift the donor, X3M Ideas" said Fatima.
Incidentally, X3M Ideas’ commenced its social good works at the junior section of the school in August 2012, when the agency clocked one. The company renovated and handed over a block of five classrooms (equipped with chairs, desks and chalkboards).
It was double honors in 2013, Oregun Senior High School, Oregun and Community High School Wasimi, Maryland, Lagos each got new IT labs equipped with computer gadgets – two units of laptops (pre-loaded with the required software/computer applications), 2HP air-conditioners and 10 Units of UPS.
X3M Ideas took its CSR project to a new dimension in 2014 as it clocked 3. The Lagos State Special Correctional Centre for Boys, Oregun, Lagos was the beneficiary. The centre got the two blocks of modern and fully equipped lavatories for the use of the students and staff of the home while in 2015 the X3M goodness CSR project was delivered to Ikeja Senior High School, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos where it constructed and equipped a library with furniture and relevant textbooks for the use of the students and teachers.
On its 5th anniversary, the agency took the initiative out of Lagos for the first time. It berthed at Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Chibok in Bornu state. The school ravaged by the dreaded Boko Haram bandit and displaced was blessed with 317 units of tables and chairs for students and teachers at its new site.
The X3M’s unfailing annual CSR project, however, returned to Lagos for its 6th edition as the agency renovated SS 3/Administrative block at State Senior High School, Ikeja GRA while the 7th year anniversary CSR project saw Commissioner for education commissioning the renovated Block IV, a sickbay and library all donated by X3M ideas at the Agidingbi junior Secondary School, Ikeja.
Perhaps, it is the agency’s consistency in “doing good” that makes the education officials across the three Lagos education districts beckon on the company’s management to extend the “goodies” to their respective districts and schools. This act of social good, as the SUBEB Chairman highlighted deserves to be emulated by all corporate organisations. As a promoter of social good, X3M Ideas has its eyes on novel ideas and projects with the potential to solve community-based problems and create positive changes in society through their interventions. No wonder the company keeps winning.
