...to hold second edition of Future Stars
English Premier League football club Arsenal has renewed its partnership with digital money transfer business WorldRemit.
The partnership extension will see the North London Club continue to support WorldRemit’s impressive global expansion, whilst also rolling out the second edition of the popular Future Stars programme.
WorldRemit are once again offering two coaches from Africa or the Americas the opportunity to attend an exclusive training programme with Arsenal football development coaches in London.
“We are extremely proud to continue our long-term relationship with WorldRemit,” commented Arsenal commercial director, Peter Silverstone.
“We place huge value on building strong, long-term partnerships and it has been hugely rewarding to see this partnership and WorldRemit’s global presence evolve since we first joined together in 2017.
“As well as continuing to support this growth and delivering on our partnership objectives, we are also excited for the return of the Future Stars programme, which champions our shared belief in the positive impact that grassroots football coaches have on the young people they train.”
Commenting on the Future Stars programme, Andrew Stewart, managing director for Africa at WorldRemit, said: “Our customers work hard every day to send money home to support their communities. Inspired by them, we developed the Future Stars programme with Arsenal to shine a spotlight on youth community coaches who use their passion for football to build a better future for others.

As an official partner of Arsenal, WorldRemit sits in the second tier of the club’s sponsorship tree alongside Acronis, Cover-More, Konami, Santa Rita, VBet, Vitality and Zoom.
Last year’s Future Stars winner was Hamisi Mohamed from Young Talents Soccer Academy. Hamisi founded Young Talents, a mixed academy outside Nairobi, Kenya, to bring young members of his community together and help them avoid falling into tribalism, drug abuse and crime.
WorldRemit was founded in 2010 to provide people with a safer, faster and low-cost way to send money home to their friends and family. Since then, the company has experienced significant global growth. Today, WorldRemit serves four million customers and sends money to 150 countries.
