Umbro extends as West Ham kit provider

English Premier League football club, West Ham United and UK sportswear manufacturer, Umbro have confirmed a new long-term agreement which will see the global sportswear company remain as the club’s official technical partner until the summer of 2023, meaning that they will also oversee a special commemorative kit for the club’s 125th anniversary next year.

As West Ham’s official technical partner, Umbro will continue to provide the London club’s playing kit until the summer of 2023. Umbro will also continue to produce training products and leisurewear for players and supporters.

The extended deal means that Umbro will be responsible for producing West Ham’s special commemorative kit for the 2020-21 season, which will mark the club’s 125th anniversary. Umbro officials recently met with a sub-group of West Ham’s Official Supporters’ Board to collect ideas and feedback for the commemorative design.

West Ham United Vice-Chairman Karren Brady said: “I am delighted that Umbro will be continuing to deliver quality products for both our players and supporters for at least the next four years. Their meeting with our Official Supporters’ Board recently to discuss the design of the commemorative kit for our 125th anniversary next year is a sign of Umbro’s commitment and dedication to being more than simply a kit manufacturer for West Ham United, and we look forward to continuing our fantastic relationship with them over the next four years.”

Umbro has been West Ham’s kit manufacturer since the 2015-16 season and replaced German sportswear company Adidas in the role.
