The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) will hold its Annual Marketing Conference and Dinner Awards Night at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
Speaking with the press at the NIMN Head Office Lagos, President of NIMN, Mr. Tony Agenmonmen, said the institute would also hold its Annual Marketing Conference on Thursday, May 9, 2019 and the General Meeting (AGM), on Friday, May 10, 2019.
He revealed that the Chairman Editorial Board, ThisDay Newspapers, Mr. Segun Adeniyi will deliver the keynote address which will be followed by a moderated panel of discussion.
This year's event is themed:”Marketing Nigeria’s Non-Oil Sector For Sustainable Growth and Development”.
According to Agenmonmen, the theme was informed by the institute’s concerted and deliberate efforts at marketing Nigeria’s Non-Oil sector, stating that there is an urgent need to diversify Nigeria’s economy from its total reliance on oil.
The NIMN President added that marketing Nigeria’s Non-oil sector would not only help in diversifying the country’s economy, it would also make her less vulnerable to fluctuations in crude oil prices.
He added that the conference will be a congregation of marketing professionals from different sectors of the Nigerian economy, other professionals, the academia, government functionaries, students as well as members of the general public.
