Everton Extends Kit Deal With Umbro

English Premier League side Everton have announced a multi-year extension of their technical partnership with British sportswear brand Umbro. The announcement was made by the club on its official website.

The deal will see Umbro continue to provide kit and training wear for the Premier League club’s men’s, women’s and academy teams, as well as merchandise for fans.

The new agreement, of which the precise length and financial terms have not been confirmed, kicks in at the start of next season.

Everton and Umbro first teamed up back in the 1970s, and the manufacturer returned as the club’s official kit supplier ahead of the 2014/15 campaign.

Everton's commercial director Alan McTavish said: "Umbro has a strong football heritage and we are confident that they will continue to provide our teams with bespoke kit designs and great-looking, technically advanced training wear."

As part of the design process for Everton’s current kit, Umbro consulted with the team’s supporters over a 15-month period. The club’s new playing shirts are set to be revealed in the summer.

The announcement comes a month after Everton confirmed an enhanced deal with global retail giant Fanatics, which will make the club’s Umbro kits, training wear and merchandise, and will be available in more international territories.

“We’re delighted to extend our technical partnership with Everton,” added Sam Lucas, head of sports sponsorship at Umbro UK. “We have a proud history working together and it’s great that we can continue that relationship with such an ambitious club. We’re really looking forward to delivering more memorable kits for the fans.”

Everton sit 11th in the Premier League, and travel to play West Ham United in their next game on Saturday.
