Sweden and Manchester United footballer star Zlatan Ibrahimović has signed signed a brand ambassadorship deal with South Korean smartphone brand, Samsung.
Ibrahimovic ditched his iPhone for the Galaxy S9 following the announcement. The the former Sweden captain is now the new face of the brand in the Nordic region, starring in the South Korean brand’s ‘What’s next?’ campaign, promoting its entire product range.
“Zlatan is very passionate about technology and our DNA fits well in with his,” said Eva Carrero, corporate marketing director at Samsung Nordic. “We're excited to see what happens when Zlatan challenges and uses our technology in new ways.”
“To me, technology is the future. I see no technology development limitations just as I do not see any restrictions on myself. Both me and Samsung are challenging how things are done and together we will have the opportunity to inspire people to think about the future and challenge themselves,” Ibrahimović said after the deal.
