The upcoming Football Africa Forum taking place in Lagos on 19 February 2018 will launch an exciting tour concept of football events as well as a business tour for companies looking to do business in South Africa.
The Forum will announce details on the African Academies Cup Tournaments taking place in Johannesburg from 1-6 October 2018 for U17s and on 12-17 November 2018 for U20s respectively. The latter tournament will take place during the week of Nigeria’s AFCON’19 qualifying-match against South Africa, which in itself is taking place on Saturday 17 November 2018 in Johannesburg.
Nigerian clubs and academies are invited to attend the Forum and obtain further details on how to enter these tournaments to showcase their players to scouts from the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) and clubs from around the world.
The Football Africa Awards will also be held on Friday 16 November 2018 in the up-market area of Sandton in Johannesburg with more than 50 awards bestowed on the cream of the continents football associations, leagues, clubs, sponsors and personalities.
The Nigerian Business Tour to South Africa will also be held during the same week of the AFCON’19 qualifier with business to business meetings to be arranged for participating companies.
The newly formed African Football Alliance (AFA), which will host it’s West-African Chapter on 20 February 2018 in Lagos will also host its continental congress during the week of the AFCON’19 qualifier and Nigerian organisations involved in football are invited to attend the regional launch next week.
The African Football Intermediaries Association (AFIA) will also launch a West-African Chapter for football agents on 20 February 2018 in Lagos as a lead up to the continental congress in November 2018 in South Africa.
