In just a year and one month of being the Managing Director of The Lucent Consulting Company; marketing guru, Mr. Lampe Omoyele has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Officer of 141 Worldwide, a renowned advertising agency owned by the Prima Garnet Africa group.
He replaces Mrs Olubunmi Oke, who recently announced her decision to resign from the position she occupied for over 10 years.
Lampe has over 25 years experience in intergrated marketing communication and have worked across some of the leading and highly respected multinational companies locally and internationally. These include Nielsen Company, where he served as Managing Director, Nielsen West Africa between 2015 –2016. He was responsible for The Nielsen Company’s business operations across West Africa, with People and P&L accountability; Cadbury Nigeria (Marketing Director) Cadbury (East and Central Africa) as Marketing Director, Nutricima Limited (Marketing Director); Zain (now Airtel) as Marketing Director (Segments) and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare as Africa Marketing Director-Family Nutrition. He never worked in an advertising agency talk-less running one. This may be an audacious, dangerous move but appears to be well thought out. And there arose the question.
He is a Fellow, National Institute of Marketing in Nigeria (NIMN); Member, Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); 2nd Vice-President, Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), 2011-2015. 2008 recipient of the Marketing Society of Kenya’s Warrior Award for significant contribution to the development of marketing in Kenya and 2011 recipient of the NIMN’s Achievers award.
