PEI Launches #BigIdeasforAfrica Campaign As ScienceAfrica UnConference Returns

Planet Earth Institute (PEI), an international charity dedicated to scientific and technological development in Africa, has launched a campaign with the hashtag #BigIdeasforAfrica asking anyone passionate about the continent to submit a short video of their #BigIdeasforAfrica and be in with a chance of winning some great prize.

The campaign is part of PEI ScienceAfrica UnConference event which will take place in 155 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 3YX on 20th July, 2017. The Institute will be welcoming to the event - over 250 people from business, academia, policy and civil society, all passionate about Africa, science, technology and innovation.

#BigIdeasforAfrica could be anything - an existing project, a research collaboration, an innovative new tech or just a crazy dream - whatever it is, PEI want to celebrate and promote great ideas happening in and for Africa.

The theme for this year's event is ‘Big Ideas for Africa: Celebrating the Continents Science and Technology Pioneers’. The event will be shining a light on a diverse range of individuals, research groups, academic institutions and commercial organisations driving great science, technology and innovation in Africa.
