NiRA: Over 12,000 Internet Users Adopted .Ng Domain Names in Q1, 2017

A new report by Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) showed an increased in the registration of the .ng domain names in the first quarter of 2017.

The latest NiRA data revealed that there were a total of 6,797 domain name registrations in  March 2017 - a significant increase in comparison with the figures for March 2016 registrations (4,129). A total of 5,254 registration was recorded in February 2017.


In a related development, NiRA will hold its 2017 .ng Awards on Friday 21st April 2017 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel. The award is the recognise individuals and organizations that have contributed to the growth of the .ng domain name space and the promotion of the Domain Name System (DNS) Industry in Nigeria.
