German Bundesliga football club Werder Bremen have confirmed that they have signed an apparel supply deal with English sportswear manufacturer Umbro.
Umbro will serve as its kit supplier for five years starting from 2018/19 season to 2022/23 campaign.
Umbro replace US sportswear giant Nike as the club’s kit partner following the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
According to German sport business publication Sponsors.de, the deal will see Umbro paying a sum of €3.5 million (US$3.7 million) a season to Werder, an increase of €500,000 (US$528,000) over what Nike was believed to be paying.
Werder currently sits 14th in the Bundesliga.
