Uber President Jeff Jones Resigns

The President of ride-hailing app, Uber, Jeff Jones has left his position less than 6 months of being appointed.

According to reports, Jeff Jones left the company because of Uber’s continued struggle with issues related to sexual harassment and sexism.



"In 6 months, he made an important impact on the company — from his focus on being driver obsessed to delivering our first brand reputation study, which will help set our course in the coming months and year," Chief Executive Travis Kalanick wrote in a company-wide email.

Jones had left Target on September 9 to join Uber ride after four years of heading marketing at the nearly 1,800-unit retail chain.

The unexpected resignation of Jones is another unwelcomed publicity for Uber as the company struggles to cushion its fast declining image.
