Electronics Gadgets Banned On 10 US-bound Flights From Mideast, Africa

Following the halt by a Hawaiian judge on Donald Trump’s new immigration order, the US President has now ordered a temporary ban on passengers on some flights from 10 international airports in eight countries from bringing laptops, iPads, cameras and other electronics in their carry-on luggage.

The international airports affected by the ban are:

Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar
Dubai International Airport, UAE
Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE
Ataturk International Airport, Istanbul, Turkey

Queen Alia International Airport, Amman, Jordan
Cairo International Airport, Egypt
King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Mohammed V Airport, Casablanca, Morocco
Kuwait International Airport, Kuwait

The reason for the ban was not immediately clear as U.S. security officials have refused to comment on the #ElectronicsBan. The Royal Jordanian airline was one of the first airlines that said it will implement the order.

The implementation commences March 21, 2017.
