As part of its global UEFA Champions League partnership, global soft drink brand, Pepsi has launched a global campaign celebrating UEFA ‘Superfans’ across the world.
It would be recalled that Pepsi struck a partnership deal with UEFA during the 2015/16 football season.
The new campaign is in tandem with the brand’s global “Moments” platform with all-star footballers such as Sergio Agüero, Alexis Sánchez and Vincent Kompany in preparation for the UEFA Champions League Final on June 3 in Cardiff, Wales.
The 2017 campaign rolls out across 75 countries with a superfan anthem film, ‘We Know How Much It Means,’ focusing on the emotional journey fans experience before and after a match.
The campaign, through a global partnership with leading football fan authorities Copa90 and Bleacher Report, will bring exclusive content and shareable social media creative across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
A ticket giveaway will offer superfans the chance to pledge just how far they’d go to get their hands on a once-in-a-lifetime prize: tickets for the world’s biggest annual sporting event, the UEFA Champions League Final.
Speaking on the new campaign, President, Global Beverage Group, PepsiCo, Brad Jakeman, said, “Throughout the year, Pepsi will celebrate a variety of moments—from the everyday good moments made great, to the truly epic like the UEFA Champions League Final.”
“Pepsi is one of the most iconic supporters and longstanding fans of the world’s beautiful game, and this year we’re taking our global football campaign from the pitch to the stands—celebrating and igniting the contagious passion that comes to life in the fans around us, showing the world how much it means to live and love the game.”
