Cadbury Nigeria has appointed Mr. Muhammad Amir Shamsi as the new Managing Director of the company following the resignation of the outgoing MD Roy Naaman.
According to a statement from the company signed by its Director of Corporate and Government Affairs, Bala Yesufu and Company Secretary, Fola Akande, Shamsi will assume office on 1st February, after Naaman’s resignation becomes effective from January 31.
It would be recalled that Naaman became Cadbury Nigeria’s MD on January 1st 2015, he took over the reins of the company from Emil Moskofian.
Until his appointment, Shamsi is a Director, Innovation Kids Wholesome, Global Biscuits, East Hanover, USA. He has vast experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods at international level. He was Head of New Categories & Gum & Candy, West Africa for USA based Mondelez International. Muhammad Amir Shamsi also served as Brand Manager at O.J Foods, and Oral Care section of Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare.
