TWENTYFIVE WISHES is set to grant the wishes of Two hundred and fifty youths aspiring to be entrepreneurs across 10 industries. In addition, wild wishes will be granted across several seasons and public holidays to lucky winners.
The call for entries commenced on Saturday, January 28 and closes on the 28th of February 2017. Interested participants are to register on www.twentyfivewishes.com and follow the instructions to qualify. Registration is open to youths between 18 and 30 years.
Wishers can make wishes across the following industries: Photography, Fashion Design, Media, Shoe & bag making, Event Management, Event Decoration & Interior Design, Culinary, Graphic & Web Design, Agriculture, Makeup & Gele tying.
According to Queen Martins, Founder TWENTYFIVE WISHES, ‘’After a successful launch last year, we are scaling up from granting 25 wishes to granting 250 wishes. We are passionate about grooming Nigerian youths into employable individuals that evolve into skilled, knowledgeable and creative entrepreneurs who create businesses that thrive despite economic recession.”
The wish granting process has different phases that include training with industry leaders, exhibiting on world-‐class platforms, receiving tools and equipment for business operations,
and the opportunity to pitch for funds from investors. The last three are dependent on performance during the training phase.
To bring dreams to life last year, we partnered with Kelechi Amadi Obi, Montaigne place, House of TARA, Zapphire events, EbonyLife TV, BeatFM, Ginani, Sun of the Soil, Lagos Photo Festival, Lady Biba, OSC college of fashion, Mona Matthews, Nlele Institute, and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) to mention a few.
TWENTYFIVE WISHES debuted in 2016 out of the desire to create a platform that will grant the career wishes of young people between 18 – 30 years, who aspire to be skilled or upskilled in their area of passion. The initiative is designed to inspire and motivate young people to be dogged in pursuit of their dreams.
