First Bank holds ‘Food is Art’ fair

First Bank Plc through its First@Arts initiative is hosting the ‘Food is Art’ event on Saturday, October 15 at Amphi Theatre, Freedom Park, Lagos Island.

The event which is themed ‘The Art of Food Photography + Street Food Fair’ will feature various sessions for food lovers and enthusiasts.

There would be an art of food photography workshop with talented photographer, Kelechi Amadi-Obi; a practical session on food art with Haneefah Adam of Muslimahanie and basic cooking class for kids with food blogger, Dobby’s Signature.
The event will also have a food panel discussion on the opportunities for food art for photographers and SMEs. An array of street food would also be available.

Over the last thousands of years, food has been incorporated into art-making. In feeding picky eaters especially children, it is important to make the food look nice and funny because the look of the food constitutes a great part of the overall pleasure of eating.
