CNBC Africa has unveiled its latest content series: Marketing.Media.Money. Airing as a 30-minute, monthly television feature with companion digital and social content, the series will navigate the global advertising industry through the eyes of senior marketers who are driving its evolution.
Hosted by Thebe Ikalafeng and Gordon Müller, Marketing.Media.Money profiles the chief marketing officers at some of the world's biggest brands as the show explores their careers, business challenges, and how they are directing their significant advertising spend. It will also highlight the technological and consumption trends that are both fuelling and disrupting the business of brands.
“The show offers a fast-paced dissection of the real issues driving the business of marketing and media,” comments Gordon Müller, co-host of Marketing.Media.Money and independent media consultant.
“As industry insiders, our goal is to make this the one-stop show for discussion makers and influencers,” says Thebe Ikalafeng, co-host of Marketing.Media.Money and founder and chairperson of the Brand Leadership Group.
Episode one premiered on Monday, 19 September at 20:30 and featured The Media Shop MD, Chris Botha. To accompany the series, CNBCAfrica.com will showcase exclusive footage and complementary explorations on the themes discussed.
Social media will also play a significant role with planned Facebook Live chats and Twitter exchanges to broaden the conversation.
