AikoCorp took first position while Transup, which allows users to transfer phone credit between different operators and Feuze, a motorcycle registration and insurance device won second and third position.
The Malian startup which beat 8 other startups will join 65 winners that will be picked from different parts of the world to battle for US$1 million at the finals in Switzerland next year.
Seedstars World is a Switzerland-based startup competition that takes place in emerging markets. It runs over 65 local competitions where the best seed-stage startups are identified, given pitch training and winners are rewarded with an opportunity to compete in the Seedstars Summit where one of the startups will be declared Seedstars World Global Winner.
“Seedstars World is an amazing opportunity for the best entrepreneurs of emerging countries to be identified,” said Mohamed Keita, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) at Impact Hub Bamako.
