Successful trial of the software carried out in the US and Netherlands last year boost the credit card giant confidence in the payment option which is expected to be launched over the next few months by large financial institutions in the United Kingdom, Canada and some European nations.
According to the president of enterprise security solutions at MasterCard (MA), Ajay Bhalla, the technology will become commonplace around the world within five years.
