British Vogue To Celebrate Centenary With Photography Exhibition

British Vogue has been running for 100 years and now a new exhibition 'Vogue 100: A Century Of Style' will mark this momentous occasion with 280 prints from the publication's extensive archives at the London National Portrait Gallery.

Launched in 1916, when the First World War made the transatlantic shipment of American edition impossible, British Vogue was born, with immediate and uninterrupted success to this day.

Vogue 100: A Century of Style at the National Portrait Gallery will open today 11 February and run until 22 May 2016.

“Fashion and portrait photography are Vogue’s lifeblood,” says Robin Muir, curator of Vogue 100: A Century of Style.


Expect to find work by legendary fashion photographers including such classics as Cecil Beaton, Lee Miller, Irving Penn, Snowdon, David Bailey and Albert Watson, as well as more contemporary masters – Corinne Day, Patrick Demarchelier, Nick Knight, Mario Testino and Tim Walker.
