The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) will on Thursday, January 21, 2016 commission the new Secretariat. The 23 year old association will finally be having an office of its own.
The new PRCAN secretariat located around Moshood Abiola Crescent in Ikeja Lagos was commissed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State, Mr. Steve Ayorinde.
Mr. Ayorinde will be joined by other Integrated Marketing Communication executives the president of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr Oladele, Rotimi, President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Dr Rotimi Olaniyan; President of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Mr. Babatunde Adedoyin; Mr. Kelechi Nwosu, President of the Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), Mr. David Okeme, President of the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), among others.
According to the President of PRCAN, Mr. John Ehiguese, the occasion underscored the association’s resolve to strengthen the PR profession in the country and also portray serious-mindedness to the international communities.
PRCAN is a trade sectoral group for the public relations industry in Nigeria. Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) was founded in 1984. The body aggregates and articulates the interest of member firms. It works to uphold best practice in public relations in Nigeria in the areas of standards, conduct as well as economic well-being for the public relations industry generally and public relations consulting in particular for the benefit of all stakeholders.
