Doyen has renewed its partnership with NR Sports, the company which holds Brazilian superstar Neymar's image rights.
The 'long-term' extension will see the agency continue to work with NR Sports to build the Barcelona forward's marketing and branding activities, seeking new partners and maximising the impact of deals with the likes of Nike, Konami and PokerStars. They will also collaborate on the development of the Neymar Jr Institute in his hometown of Santos, Brazil.
"Neymar Jr is a very special talent with a real desire to be successful in everything he does," said Doyen managing director Simon Oliveira. "We are pleased to continue working with Neymar Jr. playing a more relevant and active role in his off the field career. 2016 will be another pivotal year with the Olympics in his home country leading up to the World Cup in 2018, where he will be one of the most iconic players of that tournament."
Other clients on Doyen's books include current and former soccer players David Beckham, Xavi Hernández and Calum Chambers, German tennis legend Boris Becker. The agency is also the sole investor and executive producer of the upcoming Usain Bolt documentary.
Neymar was second in SportsPro's list of the world's 50 most marketable athletes in 2015, having topped the list in 2012 and 2013.
