The fast rising online classifieds platform, Efritin.com has announced that it has achieved a momentous step of successfully verifying thirty thousand sellers within two months of its official launch. This was revealed on Tuesday October 6, 2015 in a statement made by the brand’s Marketing Manager, Uche Ajene.
The company has prioritized the need for safety in the Nigerian online market place, and established their unique verification process to guarantee that sellers on the platform are properly identified in order to decrease the risk of fraudulent transactions on the platform.
According to the Marketing Manger, the fact that thirty thousand Nigerians are now verified sellers on Efritin.com shows that Nigerians have always had a need for safer online marketplaces. Ajene said “We are pleased with the number of verifications completed in the 2 months since we launched. We are committed to providing a hassle free experience for our users and safety remains our top priority. We will also continue to ensure that our verification process remains authentic and reliable”.
The verification process, which is the first of its kind for Nigerian online marketplaces, is a mandatory procedure where all sellers on the platform must be verified during an in person meeting and their identity is confirmed through a government issued means of identification. Efritin.com’s verification is a one-time process and all new sellers are contacted within 48 hours of posting an ad to set up a verification appointment and the seller’s adverts do not go live until the verification process is completed.
