SuperSport extends Zambian football rights

SuperSport has extended the contract with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to broadcast Super Division matches for the next five years at an increased cost of US$5 million.

The deal will run up to December 2020, represents an increase of $750,000 from the current US$4,750,000 that was signed in 2007 under which each Super Division team receives US$25,000 annually.

According to the acting Multi-Choice Zambia general manager Ngoza Matakala the deal has been signed with FAZ because broadcasting matches on SuperSport will meet its subscribers’ demands to increase local content on its channels.
