Date For 2015 COSON Week Announced

Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), the nation’s sole government approved collective management organization for musical works and sound recordings, has announced 1st - 7th November, for the 2015 COSON Week.

Nigeria’s leading entertainment television channel, HipTv will be supporting COSON on this year's event.

Speaking of the series of events which has been described as the World Cup of Nigerian entertainment, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji, said: "From Sunday, November 1 running into the early hours of Sunday, November 8, there will be seven spectacular events to titillate every segment of the Nigerian society: Christians, Muslims and the non-aligned; the ‘fashionistas’, the hip hop generation, the intellectually minded and the man on the street. We have something to thrill the rich and the not so rich, the young and the old. For one whole week, we will bring down the stress level in Nigeria. Oh yes, November 1 to 7 is the week of fun in Nigeria”.

Commenting HipTV partnership with COSON, Chief Executive Officer of Smooth Promotions, proprietors of HipTV, Mr. Ayo Animashaun reaffirmed that his team is preparing to ensure that the historic partnership with COSON is a huge success.
