The Africa Power Business Forum (APBF) will focus on power generation for Africa with attendance from investors, consultants, developers, ministries, utilities, regulators etc.) from the power sector.
APBF comes to Germany for its first edition to capture the know-how of German power companies, and to learn from a country that has successfully positioned itself as a place with the technology, resources and means to produce power on a global scale.
With real demand for power in Africa with over two third of its population without power and international investors keen to fund power projects, APBF will be the event that brings African governments and private sector together to discuss opportunities and challenges. APBF will provide the platform to do business and meet new and prospective clients. African Ministries, utilities and regulators from across the continent will meet and do business with prospective investors and power developers from Europe, Asia, Middle East, North America and South America.
The inaugural Africa Power Business Forum is set to welcome over 200 industry stakeholders including: government representatives, utilities, financial investors, power technology providers, power developers, EPC contractors and more.
Speaker Panel to Include: Marcus Wiemann, Executive Director Alliance for Rural Electrification; Louis Boisgibault, Senior Lecturer & researcher, Paris Sorbonne University, UMR; Luis Padrón López, General Director of CASA AFRICA and Dr. Moses Makayoto, Head of Kirdi Enterprise, Chief Research Scientist at Kenya Industrial Reserach & Development Institute.
The Forum will be attended by decision makers from the African and wider international community including: governments, local and regional regulators; power developers, independent power producers, power technology companies, gas companies; engineering, procurement and construction companies.
Others include: Power distribution companies; private equity investors, lawyers, large energy consumers (Mining companies, Industries, etc.); as well as consulting companies.
