Idris Elba, Timothy Amadi Make 2015 GUBA Awards List in London

Hilton Metropole Hotel, Edgware Road, London played host to the 5th Edition of Ghana UK Based Achievement Award, GUBA in July 4.

Themed ‘Celebrating Excellence’, the awards ceremony was hosted by award winning duo – Afua Hirsch and Kwami Sefa Kayi. Headline acts for the night included talented Ghanaian artist – Becca and the electrifying Compozers band.

The GUBA Posthumus Special Achievement Award went to the late Komla Dumor, which was received by her wife, Kwansema Dumor for his contribution to the media in Ghana and beyond. Dr. Kwabena Duffor was honoured with the GUBA Executional Achievement Award, Dr. Kwami Despite was honoured with the GUBA Enterprise Mogul, and the list goes on, and on.

The GUBA Awards ceremony is a platform for celebrating excellence and exceptional achievements by Ghanaians and to honour extraordinary accomplishments of those in the UK and Ghana.
