The prestigious Jogor Events Center in Ibadan, Oyo State hosted the third edition of Skye Bank’s Small and Medium Enterprises seminar recently with over 300 Skye Bank’s customers and business partners in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector in attendance.
Mr. Abina said, “The biggest problem is not the non-availability of the fund, it is the understanding of Small and Medium Scale owners of the existence of this fund and what they need to do to access this fund.’’
On her part, Executive Director, South-South/South-East, Retail, Skye Bank Plc., Ibiye Ekong advised customers to tap into the financial opportunities of the Bank to boost their SME’s.
According to Ekong, “Necessary support will be given to enable customers access the Central Bank loan schemes to boost their businesses.’’
In his keynote address, the Chief Executive Officer, Ibadan Central Hospital, Dr. Abib Olamitoye, while recalling how he started his business, explained that, no amount of money was too small to start up a business.
He commended Skye Bank for believing in his dreams and encouraged participants to set goals and work towards actualizing them, adding that, “The key to success in business is to have goals.”
Participants later commended the Bank for its foresight for organizing such seminar and different issues relating to Skye Bank Plc and the Banking industry in Nigeria were addressed by the Bank’s representatives.
The next edition of the Skye Business SME Seminar will take place in Port- Harcourt in July, 2015.
