Google debuts its new health-tracking wearable

Google has developed a wrist-worn device laced with sensors to give physicians detailed information on patients in real-time, even when they’re away from the hospital. The device can measure heart rhythm, pulse, skin temperature and environmental concerns like exposure to light and noise levels.

Andy Conrad, Google’s head of life sciences talking to Bloomberg said “Our intended use is for this to become a medical device that’s prescribed to patients or used for clinical trials.”

This device was designed by Google to allow monitoring of patients away from controlled hospital environments. By using this device, patients can return critical information to their physicians without physical contact with Physicians.
