Outdoor Advertising Agencies of Nigeria has unveiled plans to host its 9th edition of 2015 OAAN Poster Awards on June 25, at the prestigious Federal Palace Hotels and Casino Victoria Island, Lagos.
On Monday in Lagos, Mr. Charles Chijide, President, OAAN, said the OAAN Exhibition and Poster Awards was birthed in 1997 as a way of promoting and rewarding creative excellence in the Out-of-Home sub-sector of the Nigerian economy. "It was also a designed platform for the advertisers, suppliers and partners to exhibit their products and services", said.
Chijide stated that elaborate plans were in process to ensure that the event records significant improvement in all aspects.
He listed the categories of the awards to include: Diary Food & Beverages; Alcoholic Drinks; Non-Alcoholic Drinks; Financial Services; Public Service & Real Estate; Electronics & Electricals; Automobiles & Accessories; Household Products; Pharmaceuticals Cosmetics; Telecoms; Information, Computer Technology (ICT); Grand Poster and Legend of Out of Home.
He explained that OAAN have tried to create opportunities for all the sectors of the Nigeria economy. "Our focus however, is primary on those sub-sectors that regularly engage our platforms to advertise their brands,” he said.
The lined up of activities that would precede this year’s event include: A Press Conference to intimate the Media of laid-out plans that would boost the outing; Courtesy visits of Committee members along with OAAN Leadership to their corporate allies and supporters; A Stakeholders’ Breakfast Meeting/interactive forum, a day prior to the event and coordinated Exhibition of OOH Suppliers/Partners.
The Blue Carpet Reception is expect to kick off by 5pm, followed by a Cocktail leading to the event proper.
